Anteaters for Recovery is a new support group program at UCI intended for students who identify as being in recovery. Whether it’s recovery from alcoholism, drug addiction, eating disorders, growing up in an alcoholic family, or any other life-altering situation, you’re not alone. Join us in this safe and confidential space where we share, listen, support, and uplift each other. Our meetings are led by a pro-staff member also in recovery.
Anteaters for Recovery is not therapy or group counseling, but rather a support system where you can heal, grow, and thrive with others.
Meetings will take place in the Conference Room of G319 Student Center, here at the Center for Student Wellness and Health Promotion.
Join us every Monday for Mindful Mondays!
Every Monday will be a different mindfulness practice such as meditation, mindful movement, loving-kindness meditation, and many more. Mindfulness has been scientifically proven to help us cope with life’s stressors. Some of the benefits include anxiety reduction, enhanced sleep, improved mood, and increased ability to focus.
No previous experience necessary and great for beginners. Participants will receive an essential oil roller to carry their mindfulness practice with them wherever they are.
